September 11 Memorial

Last weekend we took a trip down to the 9/11 Memorial Museum in Lower Manhattan.  It was first time for myself and my parents, although Valerie had been there before.  Browsing the Memorial brought back so many memories of that day.  So many tragic stories, it was very difficult to get through.

The museum descends into the bedrock of Manhattan.  There you see the foundations of both the North Tower and South Tower as well as thousands of artifacts.  At every turn was a recording, video presentation, or picture of that horrible day.

Visiting the museum brought up very powerful memories from that Tuesday, but the presentations were done very well.

The WTC Memorial keeps the area clean and tidy.  This gentleman was very serious about keeping the memorial clean.
