Holiday Windows
We have a holiday tradition where we take a day and took at the Holiday window displays in New York. First we start at Bloomingdales (which didn't have anything great) and then head down to Barney's.
From Barney's we head over to 5th Avenue and walk from Central Park down to Rockefeller Center. We passed Bergdorf Goodman
The surprise this year was the commotion near Tiffany's. Or should I say Trump Tower. You couldn't walk on the same side of the street as the Trump Tower unless you had business there. Also there was an army of cops out front and an equal army of photographers and news people on the opposite side of 5th Avenue.
Down past Tommy Hilfiger and on to Rockefeller Center.
I don't know what the big deal about the Rockefeller Christmas tree is. Yeah, it was maybe 12 feet tall, but meh.
Then over to Saks Fifth Ave. They usually have a good display. The funniest window this year was a scene that showed a Nutcracker and a big cake.
But when the cake turned around, it revealed quite a surprise. At least it was a surprise to the Nutcracker.
From Saks, we headed down to Lord & Taylor.
Last stop is always Macy's. It's always a mess and this year was no exception. Couldn't get any decent photos, but nothing worth photographing either this year.
