The Nifty Fifty

I've had the Full Frame Canon 5D Mark IV since December.  I have only used the 70-200 f/2.8 on the 5D4 and that's not a bad combination!  I just love how sharp that lens is on the Full Frame body.  However, carrying the 70-200 while you're hiking around NYC is not a comfortable position.

I fell into a couple bucks, so I decided to get a general purpose lens.  I finally settled on the 50mm f/1.4 because it's a good compromise between a top quality L lens ($1,300) and entry level glass ($99).  And let's face it, I had $300 burning a hole in my pocket.

I just have to remind myself that just because I have f/1.4 doesn't mean I have to shoot at f/1.4!

Thank you Allen's Camera!
