This was the reason I started learning more about digital photography about 11 years ago. We had a trip to Alaska planned for December and I wanted to capture the Northern Lights. I didn’t know anything about digital cameras, but I asked around and finally settled on the Nikon D90 with 17-55 f/2.8 lens. Although I knew then about 10% of what I know now, it still came out OK. If I ever get back I will be better prepared.
