Blithewold

Newport, RI is known for it’s “summer cottages” from well known summertime residents like the Vanderbilts and Dukes. Just North of Newport is “Blithewold”, the summer cottage of Augustus Van Wickle and his wife Bessie.

The Balusters were not all the same! The stairs had a repeating pattern of three, the second floor MAY have had a repeating pattern of 4 (I don’t remember).
