A Bad Luck Charm

Since I've been shooting high school hockey in Connecticut, I've shot eight games.

It started with Notre Dame West Haven vs. Fairfield Prep.  NDWH was the reigning champ and Fairfield Prep would be the next champ.  We were cheering on NDWH, they lost.

Then we were invited to the Connecticut Polar Bears holiday tournament last year.  The U16 Polar Bears were playing the CT North Stars.  We were there to cheer on the Polar Bears, they lost.

Next up was watching the Amity Girls against Hamden at the Shelton Twin Rinks.  We were there to cheer on the Amity Girls, they lost.

The last game that year was the Amity Girls against New Canaan High at the Darien Ice Rink.  This was an awesome game that had our favorite player in the Amity Girls score a hat-trick. They lost, 4-3.

The first game this year was the Connecticut Polar Bears Holiday tournament again.  But this time we were cheering for the Wyoming Seminary Girls.  They played a good team that traveled all the way from Alaska; KPHA.  KPHA won that one too.  On the plus side, this is the game that I shot my best hockey photo ever.

Surely, I couldn't go out on a loss, so I decided to start shooting some local high school games.  First game was the Wilton Girls vs. Ridgefield Girls.  Granted, I didn't know anybody on either team, but since I was there for my hometown team, I guess you could say I was rooting for Wilton.  They lost.

I turned my attention to the Wilton Boys team.  Again, I didn't know anybody, but I guess I was cheering for them since they were "my" team.   First game was against Darien, "my" team lost.

Last game was with Fairfield Warde on Senior Night.  Another L.

So I guess you can say I have a perfect 0-8 record.  If I don't get invited to any games next year, I'll understand why!  This is my last Hockey post of the season.
